Who controls the escrow funds?

No single party controls the funds. All escrow deposits are held in a Squads Protocol 2-of-3 multisig vault on Solana. Any transaction requires approval from at least two of three participants (client, freelancer, platform).

Freelancers pay a 1% fee when milestone funds are released. Clients pay 0% platform fee. If clients fund escrow using a credit card, a third-party on-ramp fee of approximately 3.5% applies (charged by Stripe, not SolSafeHold).

Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes! Clients can fund escrow using Visa, Mastercard, or other cards via Stripe. Your card is charged in USD, instantly converted to USDC, and deposited into the secure escrow vault. No crypto wallet needed.

How long does dispute resolution take?

The other party has 48 hours to respond. Negotiation period: up to 5 business days. If escalated to platform arbitration: decision within 3 business days. Total maximum timeline: 10 business days. We aim to resolve most disputes within 5 business days.

What is the refund policy for credit card payments?

Refunds are issued in USDC to a Solana wallet you provide — not back to your original card. Stripe processing fees (3.5%) are non-refundable. Refunds are processed within 24 hours of approval. To receive a refund you will be asked to provide a Solana wallet address. Chargebacks are not supported — all disputes go through SolSafeHold's arbitration process.
